"For my granddaughter's 6th birthday, she requested a Science Party... how awesome right?! Jas from the Lab came prepared to show the kids a fun time with science. Jas from the Lab was professional and equipped with enthusiasm, a smile, and activities for the group. What a great way to cultivate young minds by making science fun and interesting and Jas from the Lab does just that. You can tell she loves science and sharing her knowledge.  Give your kids a science party with Jas from the Lab, you won't be disappointed! We had a blast!"

Bringing the science to you.

Jasmine was born and raised in the city of Monroe, La. She stayed close to home for college and graduated as a Medical Laboratory Scientist at the University of Louisiana Monroe. She worked as a generalist Medical Laboratory Technologist for a few years, spending her last year mostly in Immunohematology, or Blood Banking. She currently works in higher education. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the wildlife refuges in the area, learning about butterflies, spending hours in her "Craft Room," and educating others about science.

Passion for community service developed during her undergraduate years at the University of Louisiana Monroe where she served as President, Vice President, and many other smaller roles within the Kappa Theta Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. She won many awards during her tenure including Southwestern Region Sigma Women of the Year, Community Service Award, and the Humanitarian Award. She has served as a faithful volunteer to community gardens in her area from the years 2022-2023. She now devotes her time to Jas from the Lab, an initiative to expose people of all ages to various disciplines within science.
